The time has come. I have started a Substack.
I know what you’re thinking. Between my podcast and Instagram and TikTok, do we really need another outlet to hear your thoughts? Furthermore, do you have any more thoughts?
Well, I certainly do. But all of them are about what the next thing I am going to eat or drink is. Or where to make a dinner reservation. That’s right…
ALL I THINK ABOUT IS FOOD!
I need a place where I can obsess over a recipe I just created and share it. Or a restaurant I went to and whether it was worth the hype/ what to order if you are a vegetarian who loves to drink. Thoughts on food trends. How pretentious a speakeasy was. Ideas for dinner parties. Maybe mini podcast episodes asking people what foods they always think about. All of the things that wouldn’t make sense to chat about at length on the other platforms.
This will be my culinary and mixology sounding board and I’m so excited to get started!
Ok so let’s talk about where I’m at right now:
I’m currently writing this from a desert of deliciousness… a plane. I know just how bougie and privileged this sounds but a couple days ago, I realized I was just shy of crossing the illustrious bridge of going from gold to platinum status on Delta.
And since I’m going to be flying a ton next year (book tour! A friends 40th in Italy!) I knew I had to do it. Dear readers, I will NEVER pay to fly first class. I don’t know why.
I spend money frivolously on other stuff meaning meals and concert tickets… but six extra inches of butt room and a couple glasses of canned wine is not worth that kind of spending
But the thrill of seeing that you got upgraded to first class and only paid for coach or comfort is EXHILARATING.
To have a better shot at getting those upgrades, I knew had to book a last minute flight somewhere. After researching concerts in various cities and America’s weirdest Christmas parade, I settled on one night in Seattle to see two of my favorite drag queens… Jinx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme perform their Christmas spectacular.
Beanz is on my lap and I’m two champagnes deep. I just had an at length convo with the flight attendant about how much I love the new snack mix and how the addition of sesame sticks was brilliant. I have never felt more ME.

I'm I never knew this app existed old, but I would never miss a chance to read your thoughts about food!! I am a big food lover and am always looking for new food recipes and recommendations. 😉👍🏼
